MISSION STATEMENT:
The focus of this training is to have men develop a closer more intimate relationship with God, Jesus, His Holy Spirit, His precious and magnificent promises in His Holy Word, and one another. My motive is to equip men who are serious about truly pleasing God to live their lives through His Holy Spirit. Not LEGALISM, but LOYALISM. We are to keep Jesus Christ as our standard, never comparing with one another, and put no confidence in our flesh. We are never to judge one another in a condemning fashion, but always to encourage and equip everyone in the truth of God’s Holy Word. As we embrace the truth of Ezekiel 36:25-29; God’s Holy Spirit will empower us to live our lives to be steadfast, immovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord.
Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, so that we would walk in them.” In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” 1 Timothy 3:15 says the Church is the pillar and support of the truth. John 8:36 says the truth will make us free.
A glossary of Biblical terms will be shared to clearly define and illumine words which may, at times, be vague or grossly misinterpreted. An NASB Scripture handout, Christian to be Holy, will be presented to encourage and equip men to be more than conquerors in Christ through His Holy Spirit. I will be presenting a two-page handout of Biblical questions titled, “LET SCRIPTURE SPEAK!!!,” in order to discuss and examine each question as a group using literal Scriptures to answer them. Sure, our doctrines may vary, but examine God’s Word.
Our immediate goal in this group is to examine love as depicted in John 14:21: “He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him”, and, of course, 1 Corinthians 13:1-13. We will examine purity as depicted in Matthew 5:8: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” We will also examine holiness as depicted in Hebrews 12:14: “Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord.” Hopefully, God’s Holy Word through His Holy Spirit will eradicate any false misconceptions that we may currently embrace which could impede our walk in holiness. This is critical for truths sake, God’s sake, and our sake. In Jeremiah 1:10 God calls him to pluck up, break down, destroy and overthrow anything that is contrary to God’s Holy Word, so that he then can build and plant what is true about God and His Holy Word.
John 17:3: “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent,” and John 1:12: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name” will be discussed in our group as well.
Ultimately, with this “renovation” of our minds and hearts hopefully void of any deception and filled with the truth of God’s Word and His Holy Spirit; we may consistently walk in victory through our steadfast faith in Jesus Christ, and put no confidence in our flesh.
Ephesians 4:13 says, “Until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ” is for what we are to strive. Well, this sounds like a pretty hard goal to attain, but Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Proverbs 27:17 says, “Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” We are all to grow up in maturity and love as men of God, disciples of Jesus Christ, husbands, fathers, and friends. May we all honor our Heavenly Father through our meeting together for God’s glory!!!
