My intent in this letter to all Christian Churches is to clearly define the words DISEASE and BEHAVIOR to explicitly affirm to our reason and conscience the difference between these two words.  We know spiritually that the choices we make determine our character, and our character will determine our destiny.  It is essential, after receiving Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, that we continuously and consistently utilize our God-given abilities in allowing the Holy Spirit to rule, control, and constrain our lives at all times.

Phil. 3:3 says, “3for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh”.  2 Cor. 3:4-6 says, “4Such confidence we have through Christ toward God.  5Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, 6who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”

After reading and truly believing the Scriptures above; we would all be so foolish to attempt to save ourselves by living a life of legalism and putting confidence in our flesh.  Thank God that Jesus allows us to exchange our life for His, only as we continue to trust Him.  Only in this way, can any of us ever experience the victorious Christian Holy life as God intends for us to walk out by grace through faith in the baptism of His Holy Spirit.  John 8:36 says, “36So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.”

Disease
:  An involuntary condition that we may have.  No moral character can ever be ascribed to a disease in and of itself.  Even though we may know that a disease may be caused by our behaviors (voluntary choices that we make by indulging in harmful substances to our body); the involuntary disease is merely a consequence of our voluntary behaviors.

Example:  Cancer, Muscular Dystrophy and, Aortic Aneurysm are all involuntary diseases.  Would someone be so foolish as to say:  “Stop your Cancer, stop your Muscular Dystrophy, or stop your Aortic Aneurysm”? Well, of course not, because these are beyond our control.  However, we might say, “Stop your alcoholic drinking, a voluntary behavior, which left unchecked could cause severe and permanent liver damage, and is then labeled as the disease “Alcoholism”.  However, we must realize that “Alcoholism” truly began as a voluntary choice or behavior to drink.  As one continued in this voluntary behavior, for any multitude of reasons, the alcohol began gradually destroying
